6:30pm-9:00pm

Kabbalah House, 1023 Albany Ave. Hartford Ct. 06112

Join Socialist Action and friends as we honor and celebrate the life and work of a great revolutionary thinker. Malcolm X was assassinated 50 years ago on February 21, 1965. In one of his final speeches he said, “…we are today seeing a global rebellion of the oppressed against the oppressor, the exploited against the exploiter.” These words again ring true in the streets of Ferguson and everywhere around the country Black communities are fighting police brutality or low wage workers demanding “$15 and Union”.

Abu Carter will open our evening with drumming and pouring of libation.

We’ll also have poetry, readings of speeches and quotes, and discussion on Malcolm’s life and work.

Suggested donation $5 (no one turned away for lack of funds) a portion of the proceeds will go to support kabbalah house
