March for Jobs, Justice and A Livable Earth

Saturday, December 3, 12 Noon.

The State Capitol, 210 Capitol Ave, Hartford Ct.

The fight to preserve our planet and halt climate warming is inextricably tied to the struggle for all the other elements of a decent human life: jobs, health, equality, and justice. The threat of catastrophic global warming requires an emergency transition, in Connecticut and every other state, to an energy grid and mass transportation system powered by 100% clean, renewable sources like solar and wind. Clean, renewable energy, expanded mass transit, and emergency conservation measures can almost immediately create many times the new jobs promised by the proposed fracked gas buildout and current dirty fossil fuel infrastructure. The climate movement stands ready to campaign with the labor movement, the Movement for Black Lives, Native Americans, climate refugees, immigrant communities, environmental justice activists, conservationists, and other community movements for a massive program of good green jobs and a turn to focusing on the needs of people over fossil fuel profits.

No to Uncontrollable Warming!
For an Emergency Transition to 100% Clean, Renewable Energy! Mass Electrified Transportation for All!
End Environmental Racism!
No to the Fracked Gas Infrastructure Buildout!
Yes to Jobs & Justice! No to the Cuts & Climate Crisis!
