After a great conference call today which we were proud to be a part of concerned LGBT folks and our allies formed a group  Ct. Resistance to Trumps Administration “Religious Freedom” Executive Order.      We are preparing to respond to any executive order concerning the Religious Freedom Act and to stand with all people who are or becoming targets of the Trump regime. The group together builds on many different political persuasions and has vowed to work together to fight off any and all onslaughts against our community and others.

The groups facebook page has this to say:

“The Trump Administration is considering a draft executive order that would permit discrimination against LGBTQ people and curtail women’s access to contraceptives and abortion, under the guise of “religious freedom.”

On the day the order is announced, rallies will take place at 6PM across the country including a march and rally in downtown Hartford. We will resist in solidarity with Muslims, immigrants, refugees and all marginalized people who are being targeted by the Trump administration’s executive orders and policies  “Like” this page to receive updates on the route and location of the march and rally.

Additionally a press conference will be held the same day — at 1PM if the order is announced in the morning and at 3PM if in the afternoon — at Metropolitan Community Church, 155 Wyllys St, Hartford.

Share this page and post news of rallies in other CT towns.”
