Why is there always money for war? Because the democrats and republicans make loads of money off of the death machine.

The mother of all bombs cost $314 Million. Yes that is for one. Let’s cut meals on wheels to pay for it. Oh wait we don’t spend that much to help take care of elderly people to make sure that each day they have food to eat and contact with the person who delivers their dinner. Don’t get us wrong we do not only worry about the monetary cost of war but of the cost to life.

We do not support war in any manner, shape or form. We are disgusted that amerikkka has dropped what they call the Mother of All Bombs and even more disgusted that they use mother in that context. Have they no shame? Wrong is wrong no matter who does it or says it. What could possibly be more immoral than war? It takes rather than gives. We at furbirdsqueerly commit ourselves to stand against the slaughter fest of war, the taking from the poor, the destroying of plants, animals, and other living creatures.  In the last few years we have seem beautiful civilizations crumble under war and war mongers. Thousands dead and more dying each day more and more people displaced from their homes living in refugee camps. This is wrong and we know it.

Wars and more wars, over and over again and again. We spoke out against the governments of Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama and certainly against the current mishap Trump. None of them were any good according to us. We marched, we prayed, we burned our draft card with the best of them, we swayed and sang songs for peace, we sat in, we got arrested, we got hit upside of our heads, jailed and tear gassed all for peace. We testified with thousands and we stood with one or two. Dorthy Day once said no matter how many join you this doesn’t matter, someone must always be testifying against war.

Image result for another mother for peace posterNo we can’t feed the poor, build housing, give an education, repair infrastructures, provide decent health care and a maximum wage to people. We have forgotten to promote the general welfare of all of our people and in doing so we leave so many behind. We must stop this anyway we can.
Finally we are putting peace back on the front burner. We have been calling for this and calling for this for months now. War never went away. We know from our other postings that the U.S. has been at war bombing countries for years now. No folks it wasn’t okay and everything wasn’t peaceful when Obama was the man. Now we have this crazy monster in DC surrounding himself with other crazy monsters beginning to pounce. Bombing Syria, (even Hillary got in the act calling for bombing 2 hours before the bombs dropped) using the Mother of All Bombs in Afghanistan, and provoking North Korea which may lead us down the path of real all and all destruction. Trumps new military budget calls for a 54 billion $ increase in military spending so where is the money going to come from? These folks are crooks, they will make a bundle on war and the preparing for war. They already have and will continue to make more. Meanwhile due to cuts in the budget Grandma will have a hard time making ends meet.
How do we stop this plague that has come upon amerikkka? Is there no stopping it?  One thing we can hope for that there is a special place in hell for those who have profited or are profiting from death and destruction. Defense stocks are top performers on Wall Street. ( 1 ) One thing we can hope for is that the people will rise up when they really realize what is happening. But usually the case is, when it is biting at my ass then I will do something about it. What bullshitters those folks are. How cruel. All it takes for us with every new war is a photo of one dead child murdered by this regime. This is worth far more than all of the little boo hoos that amerikkkans think are so important and will get in the streets over.

We like what artist Mike Alewitz has to say about this. These lines are from his posting Happy Tax Day. “Most of our tax dollars go to “defense.” (That’s another word for war). Trillions of dollars fund the slaughter of workers just like us, but from other countries. This is highly profitable, as the weapons-makers sell to all sides. In fact, the permanent war economy lies at the heart of ensuring the best super-profits for the US capitalist class.Which is why all the Democratic and Republican politicians, from Trump to Sanders, support the war industry.

As you relinquish your last few dollars, find solace in knowing that our blood and sweat has allowed wealthy parasites like Donald Trump to enjoy their lavish lifestyle without the inconvenience of having to take any responsibility for the millions of impoverished workers that created their treasure.

But here’s the best part – after they take a huge chunk of every paycheck, and make us pay national, state, local, property, vehicle and sales taxes; they send us a bit of change called a “tax return.”

We then get to walk around feeling like we got some free money.”

World Beyond War has this to say, “fractions of the proposed military budget could provide free, top-quality education from pre-school through college, end hunger and starvation on earth, convert the U.S. to clean energy, provide clean drinking water everywhere it’s needed on the planet, build fast trains between all major U.S. cities, and double non-military U.S. foreign aid rather than cutting it.” (Gee that sure sounds a heck of a lot better than all of this killing.) Where does the greatest support for war originates? The United States builds, sells, buys, stockpiles, and uses the most weapons, engages in the most conflicts, stations the most troops in the most countries, and carries out the most deadly and destructive wars. By these and other measures, the U.S. government is the world’s leading war-maker, and — in the words of Martin Luther King, Jr. — the greatest purveyor of violence in the world. Ending U.S. militarism would eliminate the pressure that is driving many other nations to increase their military spending. It would deprive NATO of its leading advocate for and greatest participant in wars. It would cut off the largest supply of weapons to the Middle East and other regions. (2)

The Department of Defense asked for $2 billion over five years to buy 4,000 Tomahawks for the U.S. Navy in its fiscal 2017 budget last February.
